We made it to Sun City Arizona today around 4:00 PM mountain time. We left about 8:15 am and drove about 500 miles. It was pretty uneventful, we saw some beautiful scenery though the mountains. The grade was pretty steep from Flagstaff to Sun City – I wasn’t used to that, but it went ok. The traffic the last 1/2 hour was interesting, but we didn’t rear end anybody or get rear ended, so that was a win. My Mom has been riding in the front seat with me, and she has her atlas out so she can check the Maps app that I use to get where we are going, so far so good on corrections. Shanell blurts out from the back seat that we would be going through Winslow Arizona, and that we needed to stop and go the famous corner that The Eagles sing about in “take it easy”. The next thing I know, I am supposed to take a video of Shanell and I singing the verse in the song. After several laughs, we kind of did the video, I may share at some point!!
