Day 15, September 16, 2025

Summary thoughts update (Two weeks in)

2950 miles since the trip began; 71 hours in the truck.

We have had amazing weather, enjoying the outdoors every day. We have great travel companions, enjoying the activities that we all agree to do. We have continued to put in a fair amount of miles walking each day, ranging from οΏΌ5 to οΏΌ10. οΏΌ

Each state has been so scenic. The national parks are amazing in our country, amazing roadways to travel between and within the parks. The parks are very clean, staff seem to enjoy and take pride in their work. Everyone we meet is friendly.

We’ve eaten out three times and each time was excellent, but our own meals have been amazing as well with lots of variety and so relaxing. Most of the time we have been able to eat outside enjoying the scenery and time to hang out.

Today we are on the road again, on our way to Capitol Reef National Park.

We walked on the Grand Wash Trail

Dave and Bill took the pictures today.

It was a beautiful area. We also went to the Gooseneck Lookout Point. this section overlooks the Sulphur Creek. You can’t see the water running, but it is there. 😊
