Day 19, September 20, 2025

We’ve stayed two nights in Moab. Today we have a pass to enter Archers National Park before 8:00 am.

As we are getting ready, Dave laughed and said ‘So, are we just going for a long walk again today?’ I said, ‘yep.’ He said , ‘it kinda feels like Ground Hog Day, doesn’t it?! We chuckled. Although we said this, it is truly an amazing area. We can’t believe the miles and miles of this beautiful land.

Archers Park is popular and to make the numbers more manageable, they implemented a timed entry system. We are doing the Delicate Arch Trail first as it is very popular and the weather is better right now.

There is a solid trail at the beginning
Then you walk on the surface of this rock.

It’s about a mile and half to the arch and about 500 feet in elevation. Mostly there is rock to walk on, but some sand as well.

Aside note: every trail in Utah has sections of sand. It is really deep, soft and fine, the kind you get sick of walking in. 🙂 We wish we could haul it back for the sand traps at Lake Panorama National Golf Course. 😊

The next trail we chose was the Landscape Arch Trail. Here is a view along the way.

On the way back from this arch, we took advantage of a little narrow section between rocks

Amazing rocks, the one one right is called Balanced Rock

It’s Saturday, so we came back to campsite. After lunch, Dave and Bill walked to a brewery and watched football. Deb and I both did some cleaning and chores, then hung out at the pool for awhile.
