We left Mike and Rachel’s in the morning and caught up on regular things at the campsite. In the evening we went to Lyle and Paula Hansen’s for the evening. It was great seeing them and their daughter, Carrie. Their condo is lovely and we enjoyed appetizers on their deck.
On Sunday, February 8, we took our bikes to Pine Island which is just south of Cape Coral about 20 minutes. We rode up and down the island about 32 miles.
On Tuesday, we went out for a fun lunch at Fisherman’s Village in Punta Gorda with Lake Panorama folks that winter down here.
After the luncheon, we walked along the shoreline of the Peace River then across a bridge over the river to Charlotte Harbor.
Then on Thursday, February 12, we rode bike on the Legacy Trail from Venice to Sarasota. We met Tom and Sheri Nicholson for lunch. Then rode bike back to the pickup. It ended up being 47 miles round trip. It was a great day.
