Dave and Nellies Adventures

It’s Saturday and what another beautiful day here! Dave and I have really loved it here. However, I might have worked him a little too hard yesterday as he hurt his foot yesterday and ended up needing to ice it off and on today. I walked around the campground for a bit and checked it out in the morning.

To get out for a bit, we drove around Pidgeon Forge for awhile. Lots and lots of people here….traffic’s is crazy.

Around 3:00, I headed over to the Greenbrier entrance again and saw that the Ramsey Cascade trail was open today (been closed during the week as they work on it.). I decided to check it out. It is an 8 mile (up and back) and considered strenuous. My watch shows that I achieved 1,755 elevation gain. It was so beautiful and challenging!

With Dave’s foot, we have decided to begin heading back tomorrow and will stay in a campground about halfway home.
