Day 3, September 1

Pennsylvania to Connecticut, 250 miles

We left Pennsylvania and around 1:30, we made our way to Bantem, Connecticut. The last hour or so was on very winding, white knuckle roads with no shoulders. We went thru small towns, many trees and got glimpses of homes and cottages off into the trees. Also, many small bodies of water, ponds and lakes.

it rained a good chunk of the time. We also went over the Hudson River. No pics, but it was so cool!

Our campground is called Cozy Hills. It is aptly named as it is very shady, with camp sites at many levels and not all in a row. Ours is tucked in up against a little drop.

Once settled, we made our way to Hidden Valley Preserve for a nature walk along the Shepaug River.

There are a couple of bridges that cross the river. Here is the David Thoreau suspension bridge.

Here are pics of the scenery.
