Connecticut, rural northwestern side, final day exploring in this state

Before I describe our last day of exploring, I have share how cool Amazon is. On Tuesday, Dave ordered a caddy for the shower. Our shower has one shelf and it can’t hold everything and we hit with our elbows. The caddy arrived at the campground on Thursday. So cool.

Today we headed to White Memorial Conservation Center, a park that began in 1913 and continues today as a park and learning center about local history, conservation and ecology.

Here are some pics from the Little Pond Trail. It has boardwalks to assist walking thru the marshlands.

I don’t think I have mentioned previously, but almost every house, public area and park has rock walls made out the rocks left here by glaciers. They use them to help with erosion or make a boundary or to just put them somewhere.

Before leaving this park, we walked on Beaver Pond Trail. Here are a few views.

After visiting White Memorial, we made our way to Granby, CT for a brewery and lunch. The internet said the restaurant was open, however, that was not the case, so we start looking for another place, while looking for it, we found @ the Barn. We sat outside and enjoyed a great lunch.

Next destination was Enders State Park to view a waterfall.
