travel day, left southern New Hampshire, (Richmond) to the central part of the state at Twin Mountain KOA in the White Mountain area.
This state is quite beautiful.

After setting up the camper, we started to explore the White Mountain area. We went to the Flume Gorge in the Franconia Notch State Park. The Flume was discovered in 1808. It is a natural 800 foot chasm with towering granite walls and waterfalls.
As you walk to the Flume, you see many glacier rocks like this one here.

The rock below is known as Table Rock. There are quite a few of these as well begin to climb. There are sections that water is running over. Not sure if you can tell in this picture, but the surface is over 35 feet across.

Everywhere we look, trees have been growing over the rocks. See below.

Below are pics as we walk into the flume gorge.

looking back here

before we left this park, Deb and I decided to do some strength training.

we then checked out Basin Cascade Trail. Here are a few pics from this peaceful hike. This first picture is a spot along the trail where you cross the water cascade and continue on the other side.

much of this trail was walking thru the tree roots like this. ๐
