sightseeing in Portland Maine
I forgot to add a couple of pics from yesterday. Here are the four of us at the lighthouse. The other photo is a mansion that was taken over by the government during WWII to assist the soldiers to fight off the Germans.
Now for today. It is a fabulous day, 70 and sunny all day. We checked out Higgins Beach in Scarsborough. It was a fun way to start the day.

We then went into Portland and took the ferry to Peaks Island. It was interesting to watch vehicles get on the ferry as well as the other things that people order in Portland and then pick up at the pier.
We rented and rode bikes on the island. Here are some of the sights. We ate at a restaurant called Island Lobster Company for lunch.
