Last day
We left the Loves Truck stop in Morris around 7 am. We picked up a neon sign for Dave’s brother Mike in LeClaire from his friend KV Dahl. It was in a beautiful cabin along the Mississippi River. Too bad it is raining.
I realized that I forgot to post the final day so am getting this in late. After stopping in LeClaire and picking up the sign, we made our way to Kalona to visit Dave’s Mom, Lucy. We took her out for lunch and had a good visit. We got back on the road and made it home around 4:30 p.m. (So good to be home!)
We traveled 101 hours total this trip, averaged 8.5 mpg and drove 4,224 miles. 🙂
